In this newly released book, you’ll discover how to unlock the roots of chronic illness which leads to recovery. “Needing to know the cause is what kick-started my healing journey out of seven years with a terrible illness of ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia” says author Dan Neuffer. The Mysteries of Chronic Illness
Have you ever heard chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and other chronic illnesses referred to as mysterious diseases (or syndromes)?
That’s a personal pet peeve.
To put a fine point on it, I’m annoyed at what it implies. When medical writers identify chronic illnesses as mysterious, they typically go on to say that since we have no idea of what causes it, we also have no idea of what can help it to improve.
This is simply not true.
Dan and I each believe in the body’s innate intelligence and ability to heal from chronic illnesses such as ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, and more.
We believe it because we’ve lived it.
CFS Unravelled the Book
You know I’m an avid reader. My favorite non-fiction topics usually focus on physiology/biology and any books that feature brain health, habit change, positivity, and healing.
So, when Dan Neuffer – a friend and colleague of mine – asked if I’d review his newly released book, I said, “Yippee!” I was intrigued to read his take on the pathogenesis of chronic illness.
Dan’s book checks all the boxes for me.
Even before cracking it open, I knew I’d find it affirming. Dan and I have similar healing histories. Though we didn’t know each other when we were ill (not to mention we live on different continents) we came to similar conclusions.
Dan takes these conclusions to the cellular level. In his book, he details exactly what’s going on in the chronic illness body. As he points out, “Once we know the exact pathways of the illness, we can get busy and focus on recovery.”
Recently, Dan and I sat down and discussed his new book and what he hopes to convey. I hope you enjoy this informative interview as much as I did!
Here’s just a taste of what you’ll hear –
- What’s a PEC?
- What we need to know about the origins of chronic illness
- Why the different names of CFS, fibromyalgia, pots and other syndromes are confusing
- Why so many recovery stories are different yet similar
(If for any reason you can’t see the video above, please use this direct YouTube Link.)
After listening, did you catch the key points to this interview?
- The root causes of chronic illness are definable.
- Treatments for chronic illness are available.
- Recovery from chronic illness is possible.
For more details on both the root causes and potential treatments, check out CFS Unravelled at any online book retailer. (The clickable above goes to the US Amazon store.)
(Tip: When searching on your own, be sure to use the British spelling of “unravelled.”)

Groundbreaking! One cannot know how to help themselves if they don’t know the root cause. I have been fortunate to have supportive doctors (many), but they have not known what else to tell me to do except take medications and try to exercise. That is very hard to do when you can barely move! Even with the severe depression and brain fog, I try to stay positive and smile so m son and husband don’t see the full extent if the pain. Believe me, when I am stuck on our staircase of can’t get up from bending down, they understand how painful it is; however, this material could release me from some of this terrible pain! I would be so appreciative to be one of the people granted a free copy of your book!
