What does fibro Christmas laughter make you think of? Laughing at yourself for finding your car keys in the trashcan outside? (I’ve done this and didn’t laugh at the time.) Or perhaps laughing at your chronic couture (dressing for all potential weather outcomes at the same time)? It’s true that laughter is medicine when it comes to fibromyalgia and chronic illness.
In today’s post, I’ll share some health benefits of laughter as well as a downloadable handout for sharing. ‘Tis the season of sharing and caring!
In this month of giving, I’ve shared two valuable resources so far.
The first week I shared a recent interview where I was asked questions about fibromyalgia and healing. This Ask the Expert series interview from Nutrishatives gave me the opportunity to answer important questions such as “What’s the most important thing the fibromyalgia community needs to know?”
You can check out that interview HERE.
Last week, I shared a full-length video of a recent lecture I gave at a Fibromyalgia support group at Cal State Fullerton. In it, I explain fibromyalgia as well as my best tips, strategies, and research on not only what fibromyalgia IS, but also what you can do about it.
You can check out that video lecture HERE.
Today’s gift is a light-hearted attempt to make you laugh. And, if I fall short of that mark, then I hope it at least brings a smile.
Please share this post with others in your family and chronic illness community. Let’s all have a bit more laughter and a few more smiles at this blessed time of year.
Fibromyalgia Christmas Laughter
I’ve discussed the benefits of laughter and humor numerous times in my book, talks, and posts. To review a summary, check out this ProHealth article – The Top 10 Benefits of Laughter for Fibromyalgia.
For today’s gift, I’d like to share a song/parody I wrote a few years ago. Sung to the tune of The 12 Days of Christmas, it’s appropriately entitled … The 12 Days of Fibro.
