HELP! I NEED FIBRO HELP!

Did you know that resources for fibromyalgia are everywhere? Fifteen years ago, fibromyalgia wasn’t even something most people had heard of. Today, if you simply Google the term, you’ll find over 18 million results. There’s a LOT of information out there, yet … this is a phrase I hear often – I need help!

Did you know that May is officially Fibromyalgia Awareness month? Well, technically, May 12th is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day so I think we deserve a whole month to celebrate. I was just interviewed on a Blog Talk Radio program yesterday about all of the wonderful opportunities there are this month for further fibromyalgia education. There was so much to say, I thought I’d share them! Resources are out there – sometimes it just takes a bit of digging. You can find information ranging in prices from free to costs sure to fit within your budget. In today’s post, I’ll do a bit of digging for you and provide you with a short list here. Each paragraph has a clickable link where you can go for more information.

First of all, you can listen in on my interview with Nancy T. We had fun discussing news, health, sleep, and a whole variety of topics. I mentioned Fibromyalgia Awareness Day as May 10th but it’s May 12th. I have May 10th on the brain due to another program I’m involved in and I’ll get to that in just a bit.

I recently appeared as a guest on the nationally syndicated Know the Cause! TV program. I’m not certain how long the link to my episode will appear on their website, but for now, it’s still available.

Did you know that there are Fibromyalgia Awareness events all over the country this month? I hope you’re able to participate in your area. THIS Saturday, May 7th I’ll be speaking at an event hosted by California State University, Fullerton. Register in advance here or call 657-278-7031 for more information. This event is co-sponsored by the university and the North Orange County Fibromyalgia Support Group and will feature health seminars, information booths, and a whole variety of resources. This is a FREE and powerfully informative event!

If you’re not able to attend events in person and are looking for a more intimate and personalized way to learn more about fibromyalgia — look no further! Check out the FibroFix System which is a 6 part telecourse which begins May 10th! I’ve teamed up with Deirdre Rawlings and Glen Depke and together, we’ve created a power-packed series of information sure to help you reduce symptoms and move forward with your health goals. Hurry and sign up by TODAY for early bird pricing. By clicking on the link provided here, you can also listen in on a teleseminar that provides an abundance of FREE information.

The Fibromyalgia Coalition International is a phenomenal group in Kansas that has provided information, a print magazine, and great workshops and seminars for more than a decade. You can read one of my articles in their current print magazine and learn more about what this vital organization has to offer. To learn more about the Fibro Coalition’s 2011 Conference check it out here and register soon!

I’ve listed the above resources by date and it’s clear that the month of May is packed with information.

But the education doesn’t stop there. More resources and information continues into June! I’ll be teaching a series of four workshops at California State University, Fullerton based on the FibroWHYalgia Workbook – a practical follow-up guide to my book, FibroWHYalgia.

So – do you feel like you’re now in the know? May is the month to get information, get connected, and get going!

  1. I just spoke with the director at Cal State Fullerton and she mentioned your seminar. I did not see it on their website and am interested in attending three of the sessions as I will be out of town the first week in June.

    Can you provide more information?

    Thank you

    1. Thanks for the comment, Linda! I’ve added your name to the Cal State list and will send an email shortly. The workshops will be held at Cal State each Saturday in June from 10:00 to 12:00. The cost for all four weeks will be $25 payable to my company at the door. You will be provided with materials. I hope to get that welcome email out very soon. Great to hear from you!
