Organic Aromas Diffuser Review

I use my essential oil diffusers daily. Yes, I have several. They put up with frequent use and I love the variety. Some are ultrasonic and others use low heat and water to distribute the oils into the air. I’ve never had an Organic Aromas Raindrop nebulizing essential oil diffuser … until now. And, here’s my review!

My nebulizing diffuser works differently than the rest of my diffusers. Most diffusers use water and low heat, and while there’s nothing wrong with that, a nebulizer uses neither. In a nebulizing diffuser, pure essential oils are added and that’s it. No water. No dilution. The device does have an electrical plug, but uses next to no electricity as it’s needed only for the light (optional) and the super low electrical  air pump.

I’m sort of a mechanically-minded nerd. When I discovered that this diffuser uses old-school technology (with updated features), I wanted to know more. I discovered that the Organic Aromas Raindrop nebulizing diffuser is not only sleek and beautiful, it diffuses the oils using the Bernoulli Principle, first noted in 1738.

I think that roughly 300 years is enough time to prove the efficacy of this method.

I won’t bore you with the rabbit hole I fell into regarding fluid dynamics, but the bottom line is that the Bernoulli Principle offers a beautiful way to effectively control the dynamic flow of liquid (in this case, essential oils) in a way that harnesses the benefits of energy conservation (a constant balance of kinetic, potential, and internal energy).

And, if you’re wise, don’t ask my husband about the Bernoulli Principle unless you want a 20 minute lesson, complete with diagrams, illustrating how it applies to the aerodynamics of airplane wings and the functionality of a carburetor.

But, I digress….

Why does the Bernoulli Principle matter to you?

The Organic Aromas Raindrop Nebulizing Diffuser isn’t just pretty. It’s also efficient and effective. The oils are dispersed into the air with a super fine mist (nearly invisible to the eye) and the scent is distributed evenly throughout the room. To be fair, I’ve used it in my office and have yet to try it in an open area or larger room, so I’m not sure of its effectiveness in a wide open space.

I’ve put this diffuser through its paces and so far my favorite attributes are that it’s quiet, very safe to use, beautiful, and releases the oils into the air in a concentrated way.

I was given the Organic Aromas Raindrop Nebulizing Diffuser along with a bottle of their proprietary blend called Serenity. I enjoy the scent, but I’ve made my own modifications. (We all have likes/dislikes when it comes to scents and that doesn’t make our choices right or wrong. I made adjustments according to my preferences.)

The Serenity blend features the following  oils:

  • Lime
  • Ylang ylang
  • Cedarwood
  • Lavender

It just so happens that I’m not a big fan of the scent of ONE of those ingredients (which one isn’t important). So, when I first ran the diffuser, the scent seemed too strong. I could have moved the diffuser further away from where I was working, but instead I added more of my own stash of Lime which I really love. I now love the blend and my favorite way to use it is in this ratio: about 1/3 of the total drops suggested of Serenity and about 2/3 of additional Lime.

This works for me.

That’s the great thing about essential oils.
They’re super easy to mix, match, blend,
and customize to suit your individual needs.

According to the Organic Aromas site, their Serenity blend is particularly useful to reduce stress, insomnia, anxiety, and to help restore a sense of balance. Can you say, “Yippee?”

The description also lists therapeutic benefits specific to the chronic illness community. You can read about that in the About section of this page.

All in all, I’m very happy with my Organic Aromas Raindrop Nebulizing Diffuser and I know you would be, too.
