Can you use Positive Prime to help your fibro brain to heal? There’s no doubt that the fibromyalgia and chronic illness brain is over-active, over-stimulated, and overworked. Stress-relieving practices can set the stage for healing to take place. But there are so many to try – which ones to choose?

Any number of stress management modalities can help, but here’s what I use daily.

I’m one for speed, efficiency and getting the most bang for my buck. In this case, to get started it’s free. So what could be better than that? And, of course, this is for EVERY brain – not just for those of us spoonies with chronic illness.

One SIMPLE Thing – Positive Prime

I’ve just released a new book, entitled Get Back into Whack. In Chapter 16, I share over seven dozen methods of how to Build-a-Better-Brain. We’d all like to help our brains to function with clarity and to become less over-reactive. One way to do that is to stimulate the brain with an abundance of positive visual images.

Today, I’m sharing one way to do so that’s likely new to you. Have you heard about Positive Prime? If not, you will soon as it’s gaining popularity in the world of positive psychology, self-help, and whole-body healing.

Positive Prime is a web-based site that allows you to view a series of images that have been scientifically selected to engage and stimulate the brain in a positive way. Even more exciting is the fact that you can gain benefits from this practice in as few as 3 minutes per day.

First, let me tell you what it can do for you.

Positive Prime – a Vision Board on Steroids

Have you ever created a vision board?

They can be super effective in helping you to specifically define what you want, how you want to go about it, and why you want it. Vision boards stir up the imagination as well as emotions and feelings.

Positive Prime does all this and so much more.

Without the limitations of a one-off project, Positive prime allows you to see thousands of images as well as positive statements strategically-designed for positivity and success.

What Makes Positive Prime Completely Unique

The researchers at Positive Prime found that there are many things sorely lacking in what we see in today’s world. While we happen to have an abundance of opportunities to see and experience a wide variety of things, most of us don’t. In fact, many of us are severely deficient in our exposure to images of people who smile and use positive gestures, images of nature, greenery, and color, as well as images of people and pets of all ages in all areas of the world.

There are many details that set Positive Prime apart. Here are just a few of my favorite reasons to make this a daily habit:

NEUROPLASTICITY: Through viewing Positive Prime sessions regularly, we have the opportunity to build neural pathways that strengthen our brain’s focus on positivity, gratitude, happiness, goal-achievement, and much more. These pathways help to reduce stress among many other healthful and helpful benefits.

VARIETY: Each time you view a session, the slides are shuffled and shown in random order. This type of stimuli is great for the brain as it tends to ignore that which is rote.

SMILES: Viewing real and genuine smiles feels good to us at a soul level. There’s much more to be said on this vital topic and I’ll share more in future posts.

PEOPLE of DIVERSE ETHNICITIES: Seeing a wide variety of people in cultures different from our own helps to connect us to the world at large.

COLOR: Vibrant colors, interesting textures and shapes, and a wide array of culturally-rich images stimulate the brain and help us to feel gratitude,

POSITIVE POSTURES: People demonstrating positive postures and gestures help to stimulate emotions and feelings of gratitude, satisfaction, happiness, and future potential.

SPEED: The brain loves to be challenged in healthy ways. By speeding up or slowing down your Positive Prime sessions, you can not only adjust your viewing to meet your time schedule, but you can enhance the effects of these images by allowing them to have a positive effect on the nonconscious mind.

NATURE: Seeing foliage, flowers, canopies of trees, and an abundance of nature gives us a break from our daily lives. Oceans, rivers, canyons, and vistas give us a glimpse of nature in all it’s glory.
